smelt dipping cowlitz

went dipping at 6am this morning and managed to get 5 limits in about an hour.
We were dipping at the boat ramp just off I5.

Plenty of smelt at Riverside Park in Lexington too. Even with my three year helping we were able to get more than enough for fishing in just a few minutes. There were a few more females than last week but still very high percentage of males.

Anybody hit the Lewis today? I was thinking of taking the family up for an evening excursion.

We got two limits in less than 10 minutes below Carnival Market. 4 or 5 dips per limit. A very high percentage of males. Probably 75-80 percent. We were going to go again tomorrow, but will wait until later in the run when there is a higher percentage of females.
