Took the Sunday paper ,some coffee , and my spinners out on the water for an hour or so ...no fish ...just me ,a couple raccoons ,geese, ducks, and a deer. Sure felt fishy though and nice "dry-run" for springers . How deep were you fishing the other day Waterdog ? Launched at Wallace Marine with two other rigs in the lot . A Motion Marine reported releasing a nate downstream of the launch.

Swampy, I was fishing in about 10 feet of water in what I would call pretty slack current. There was just enough current to make the spinner spin and only needed about an 1oz to hold it. I was back out today but no luck. Couldnt get to my hole at a decent time due to the fog. I bet I couldnt see 20 feet ahead of me until about 10am. :depressed:

I typically dont fish that deep but I'm looking for alternate spots since it gets pretty crowded anymore. Guess I got a new hole. Don't know wheather to go back out or maybe head to St. Helens since I got the day off.

Thanks WD . I most often fish in five to six feet of 1 or 2 oz water ...when springer fishing up here I've seen steelies zipping up river right near the bank but have never realy targeted them ...nice way to spend the day ...All the best and good-luck next time out . Swampy
