Well the bite has slowed at KP so I'm looking at heading back up the gorge. If anyone has fished the gorge lately (like today) I would appreciate a report. I would rather fish the gorge vs KP anyway. KP is just too busy and too ugly to stare at all day. But, I'll go where the fish are. Thanks

the fish are probably a little less "chemical contaminated" up at the gorge too.

Actually Sea Nymph, the fish in the gorge are probably as contaminated or more so. They can't escape the "soup" from the aluminum plants, creosote plant, orchard chemical run-off, etc. With little flow in the pools these things tend to settle rather than washing out. Sturgeon spend a bunch of their lives in contact with the impregnated silt and mud. :depressed:

Oh... ok. I just figured there was more crap/chemicals in the areas around Portland.

Hi Ed

Was up at the Fishery today..15 to 20 mph East wind but fishable..We only got a few shakers and really didn't see much going on but according to the checker at 1230 pm he counted 12 keepers for 7 boats so far..Seems like a couple of boats got into them while most guys were practicing.......Not crowded for a Sat either..Hope this helps a little............

Choose to go to the gorge on Sunday. Fished the flats below The Fishery; 45" keeper. Still a bit slow. Water temp: 39 degrees. Nice day though.
