Hit the Sandy today. there were 4 of us fishing. we went 4 landed for 9 hooked. 2 were in the 6-7 pound range. 1 was in the 15-17 pound range. All those were hatchery fish, that i didn't catch but enjoyed watching being caught. But...... I caught a fish of a lifetime. My biggest steelie ever. i caught a fish that went close to 25 pounds, native. It was beutiful reeling it in and then swimming away. biggest steelie i've ever seen in person. Only problem is i went 150 yds down river from my buddies, and didn't have the camera close by when we realesed it :depressed: Made my day though.

We caught fish on alot of diff stuff. corkies, corkie with a fly:) spinners, eggs, one on prawn tail, and one fish with corkie and inch section of earthworm. kinda interesting day but it was fun. i just caught the nate though, only take down i had. But i caught the nate on a #4 chartruese and orange bluefox. It was sweet. I was fishing this slow section of river just behind the head of the drift. Fishing behind all the boalders i could see. and i could watch the spinner from cast to retrieve. and i pulled it behind this boulder out there, and about ten foot away i saw this flash and it just slammed my spinner. fight was on... I had to try to navigate the fish up and around boulders and fight it out of the current. All this took half hour. I'll remember this fish forever. atleast till i catch a bigger one  but i think this fish is a fish of a lifetime. but its still out there someday we can catch its kids:)

Wow! Nice catch. Just proves that anything can happen when your line is in the water.
