Is there any secrets to getting into the expo and finding a parking spot. First problem is getting there. Last night I herd I-5 was all backed up. Who knows the secret route in. If I do manage to get in will I be able to find a spot?

Hi Meridian,
We got there yesterday at about 1:00 pm when it opened and the lot was nearly full. If I were you and you want to get a good parking spot gett there by 12:30 and you should do fine. Any later, I would think about doing the shutle at that point. They were running the shuttle as we pulled into the lot.

I drove up from Salem. At the Rose Quarter the traffic started to back up. I would recommend an alternate route or at least getting there an hour or so before they open the doors. Don't even try to park at the Expo Center if you get there after they open the doors. Go directly to the Portland Meadows parking lot and take the shuttle. Big crowd Wednesday.

I got there about a quarter to one yesterday it took me about 15 min to get to the parking lot.Once inside I went straight to the old entrance there was still lots of parking,I parked right in front of the old entrance.I would bet that within 1/2 hr there was no parking left so get there early and be patient !!!Its a good show
lots to see and one really REALLY !! nice boat.

Hi all,
The best alternate route is to get off I5 around the rose quarter or one of the SE portland exits and take a left on Union ave. follow that to columbia blvd. Take a left and go to the next signal take right on vancover follow that to the next light. It is a 4way stop. Take a left you can park at Portland medows and take a shuttle or you can follow the signs thru delta park to the expo center.
I use this route to get to fishermans supply too if I5 is backed up.

the best way I found was to take 205 up to vancouver, then take hy 14 to I-5 and go south
to the expo. I got there at 1:45 and could still park in the lot.
