Just wondering if anyone fishes the Astoria area for springers or if it is even open? I don't have a boat but my buddy does and he and I were both wondering if this was an option for an early chance at a springer. Thanks for any info, see you all at the sportsmans show.

Steelie, I have a friend that lives in St Helens
that has been giving me reports on the Prescot area. He says that they are already being caught.
I also know that there was one caught on the Clac.
that was also confirmed. You should be able to start picking up early fish around here and not have to drive all the way to the coast unless that is where you would like to fish.
