I'm trying to gather up the necessary paperwork to insure my aluminum DB but the insurance company has never heard of Steensen. I can't seem to find much information for myself either. It's a great boat so far, just wondering if anybody knows a little history or phone # for a boat by this name.

Hi DB

Are you looking to get a value on your boat? If so, then all you should have to do is take it in to the nearest boat dealer and asked them to apraise it. You can even go to most boat repair shops for that too. Good Luck!

I know someone who owns a Steenson 16' center console sled. He may be able to help. E-mail me if you can't find the info you need. My freind also said Steenson was a SW Washington Manufacturer. I think he knows a little history.

driftboater - I've been rowing a Steenson since about 1990. Bought a used 16' at that time and it has been a great boat ever since. Finally, this year on the Wilson right after Christmas, I saw another red Steenson on the river, first one I've ever seen since owning mine. It's been a great boat. However, whenever I get the chance to row my buddies Willie, the difference is night and day. Something like driving my old '75 Ford 4X4 compared to a new Lexus.

They been around for at least a hundred years. Most of the cowboys wear them. Ask them. Oh wait a minute. Never mind.
