Just thinking ahead a little. Does anyone have the Lat/Long for halibut out of the Columbia? Someone said the Astoria Canyon, but that seems to deep(1400 ft to 3000 ft).

Yes the location of Atlantis is much sought after. This is in the all depth category for fishing days. Given the sure thing off Newport We've never tried it when we could go to Tillamook or Newport. Generally a drop off or a bump on a flat area are the best bets. On the chart both edges of the Astoria canyon look good.
Give it up if you know.
You can look at the Pacific Halibut Commission data for their test fisheries. It's pretty cryptic but you can plot the results and find it that way.
