Ok folks, I am trying to find bulk plastic or styrofoam trays like you get when you buy frozen herring. Where can I get them?

Need to find some before Yaquina Bay herring run. I plan on putting away a bunch for the ocean fishing season..

Hey C&E

I'm pretty sure if you go in to your local meat department store during the day when the cutters are in they will sell them to you. Give it a try if you don't figure anything else out. Good luck

United Grocery or any meat market or most food store with a meat dept.

C&E, you have probably already thought of this, but those plastic throwaway trays with a lid on them. Zip lock and Glad both make them, and Bi-mart has their own house brand. I now use them for my cured eggs. They come 5 to a package and in about 4 or 5 different sizes. Anyway, just a thought, worth what you paid for it!

Looks like you got all the info you need. Here is one more for you. When you purchase meat and it comes in the styrofoam trays just wash them and save them. Same thing the herring at the bait shop comes in.
