Welcome to ifish, Doherty Ford! (http://www.dohertyford.com)
Doherty Ford will sponsor an ad on the ifish board.
They will be the official ifish Ford Dealership.
We have talked about offerering tips for towing and truck upkeep, member discounts, used truck of the week, etc.
There are many members in the area where Doherty is located.
As of late February, the board will be making some advertising changes, and at that time, they will be making their first appearance on ifish!
Welcome!!!

Cool! Guess I know where I’ll start looking when the wifes rig is ready to be replaced.

So do we get a BIG discount on Powerstrokes? Mommy says “I want a real truck!”

Ford, Ford, Ford....Yehaw!!!

Now, if this would've come about less than a month ago, maybe this would've come from a different dealership

So Jen: does this mean as chair of F4, I will have a new ford truck to drive my boat to the ramp for the next year...and how many trucks can we expect them to donate for the event...I think 3 more will be enough...one for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place...

Giz...

Why FORD? You know that Chevy rules the road. I can't see test driving a FORD and actually going out and buying one afterwards. The ride is so rough.

I know for the F4 we should give trophy's for the longest fish. And give the LOOSERS, like BOE, STZ II and GEEZERMO a FORD TRUCK.

I have a 92 ford diesel (Not the power stroke) I currently have 300,000 on this truck and its still going strong. I have put a tranny or two in it but it has been used to tow a lot. I think that Ford Rules. Can't wait until I save 40,000 so I can get a new one.

i'm not worried about a smooth ride. if that's whats important, i'll get a car. my ford truck is plenty smooth... for a 4x4 truck. for off-roadin and towing, i like it a little stiff.

on another note though.. chevy now (according to reviews) has the best diesel engine and tranny. the duramax by isuzu - and they have finally figured out how to make a heavy duty tranny. they still don't(i don't believe) have a solid front axle though. not a big deal unless going off the pavement is a huge importance. the base with a duramax is 40K+ and goes up from there!

with ford contributing millions to greenpeace, it's really hurting their sales in the logging and ranching industry. but everybody can't let politics dictate who they will buy from. dodge and chevy aren't complaining though. ford still makes a great truck. let's hope they continue.

OK Jen,
I haven't logged out or gone to sleep since this thread started. I don't want to miss the "Ready, Set" contest. I have always been a Chevy man, but I would take a new Ford if I won it in a contest.

Why not have a cady. I have a 3/4 ton Chevy that rides like a cady. why not have your cake AND eat it too.

Maybe if I was ******’ I’d want a caddy. But since I ain’t I want something that can PULL. And PULL hard with 450+ ft/lbs of torque so I don’t even notice the hill I’m climbing as I pass all the non-worthy trucks. It’s also nice to not have to stop every 200 miles to get gas.

Dodge, that’s what most trucks do when they see a FORD Powerstroke in the rear view.

This truck smack is a good as the F4 smack………

Have you seen the Ford commercial where the chevy cant hold the big boat on the ramp and it gets pulled into the water? Ha, I love that!!

"Chevy, sinks like a rock!!!!

Im a Powerstroker!!!!

Ford rules!!!!

Salmonator
01-29-2002, 08:37 PM
Thats about as realistic as the infamous "pull-off" where the dodge and chevy are tied bumper to bumper. The dodge starts dragging the chevy backwards then suddenly the dodge "stalls" . There's a better chance of monkeys flying out a cummins tailpipe than there is stalling it.

A rear view mirror is the most common place to find a ford...

As far as diesel mileage, with a 2,000lb camper and a 5,000lb boat I only fill a 35 gallon tank twice from Albany to Astoria: once when I leave Albany and once more when I get back to Albany

And if you're only pushin' 450lbs of torque, you might be too far back to even be seen in my rear view
