Will the sandy or clack be fishable soon?
Anyone have a good plunking spot and suggestion on what to use. Never fished the sandy much.

well, I'm going to go have a look at the Sandy this am. Haven't fished much lately. Gotta get out there, just from the bank though no boat today. Sounds like it might be fishable. I'll let you know how it is. If you head out give me a call on my cell if you want. 503 329 8158 brad

You're missing out. Several fish caught each of the last two days. I had to pay some dues both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I fished about 5 hours at Oxbow and saw six fish on the bank and heard of a couple more. No6thing for me. On Sunday I made a day of it and hooked three fish. The first was a native hen I released. The next two should go into a thread on "how to lose fish". I hooked a bright fish looking to be about ten lbs. A younger guy with a net got excited and wanted to net it for me so I walked it down stream 30 - 40 feet. I know the area well and wasn't even thinking when I led the fish around a sand protrusion that had several short willow bushes protruding. Of course, the fish decided to test the strength of my leader and wrapped itself around one of trhe willows and popped the leader at the hook. Later in the day I was casting and got a little overspin on the reel. It did'nt look bad so I reeled up and recast. I heard the loop, formed during the overspin, slap the reel frame on the next cast. I reeled back up checking the line. I felt a little abrasion but thought it would be OK. Next cast fish on. The fish started jumping and stripping line. Then pop! The line separated where the line had been abraded. Lessons relearned today.
Bottom line, The Sandy is in great shape with plenty of fresh fish in. Despite light pressure,I saw several more bright fish on the bank Sunday.
