I dont even know what to say, :depressed: I start the bidding on your boat at $1 and you are are getting a steal at that. Anybody that owns a jinxed boat and then continually takes himself out weekend after weekend after weekend and beats himself in the head with a hammer, is gonna learn sooner or later that it hurts.
If I can get a hall pass, are you willing to go for a remedial sturgeon lesson? We can call it Sturgeon 99, I cant give it a 100 level designation as freshman who know nothing start in the 100 level classes. This will be for the remedial, or what we call Waterdog 99. Most 99 level classes dont even get the boat in the water until after mid terms. But in your case we will condense it to some online reading, and get the boat and hook wet the first day.

What the heck WD? Man, you are due.... We had to move around once or twice, but out of three of us we brought back a 46 and 49, and lost a couple keeper class (one right at the boat trying to land it...argh!).
Next time your out there, call me on VHF. I'll give you the skinny where I'm at and bait your hook if that's what it takes!

Dog- I'm with BOE........What the heck kinda bad mojo are you sporting??????  I will give you $3.87 for your boat, I mean c'mon lets be reasonable  I am going on monday morning and would be willing to take you and wash off that bad 'jo. My best buddy has been in an all time slump-----going back to mid dec.- 2 broken loomis rods, hasnt even hooked a steelhead this year( among the rest of us who are hosing fish), Fishing truck broke down, Tackle pack stolen off his front porch, and a wife who loves to tease him.......  . It's so bad we avoid asking him to go in fear it's gonna infect us....  anyways Dog ,Ive been there and I know it sucks......how bout a "Group Hug"?????
John

Well guy's I don't think it's just my boat that is the problem. My boat was left in the garage. You guys will have to do better than $3.87. Need to move the decimal point to the right a few more places.
Got talked into going so I figured I cant do any worse. We fished across from T-6, mouth of the Willamette, and in the Willamette. Moved a round several times to no avail. What can I say. Used every combination of sand shrimp, squid, smelt, and all of the 15 different scents we had on board.
John, I'd love to hit the river with you or Chris but just cant do it. Contrary to what Roy thinks, I'm too busy at work right now.
Where are those springer's?!?!?!

Waterdog, I don't know whether to laugh at you or cry. I can help you on the bait though. The only thing to use while the smelt are in the Cowlitz is quivering smelt. This time of year all of our sturgeon trips start with a few minutes dipping some bait.
Can you do a weekday trip? Maybe I can sneak out one day this week for a trip to church. E-mail me and we'll set it up.
BTW if you can't limit on the gators in my boat you should take up in line skating or golf.
Just razzing you man.

Pilar,
It’s ok to cry, at least that is what I have decided.
I can’t get away during the week right now but I truly appreciate the offer and would enjoy a trip to church with ya. However, I don't want to be the guy that puts the skunk on your boat too. Then nobody will fish with me but BOE.  I’m in a major slump so it’s time for a break and to regroup.
I don't have the patience for golf and after watching my step daughter break her arm while roller bladeing, I wont do that either. HHMmmmm havent tried knitting yet...... :depressed:
Thinkin’ bout springers………

WD, don't worry about a skunk. It happens all the time. It only took me 2 years to figure out the sturgeon boogie. And then a few more years to really get it figured out.
Now as far as river salmon goes ... I still have a lot to learn. Interest is low, the ocean is just too easy for salmon, but I make a token effort every year for springers anyway.
