UUUMMM Fresh Crab

Crabbed Tillamook today, weather sucked, had to work hard from 10-2 for the crabs but ended up with 20 for 2 people. Not the hardest crabs in the world but tasty all the same. Lots of people out crabbing I did not hear too many good results seemed kind of slow.

Fish_on, we had similar results at Netarts on Friday. We started around 8:30 and by 10 the sea lions had stolen all of our bait. Had to go to town to get more. We didn't get off the water until 3:30, but ended up with 21 nice crabs.

Yes, crab is good. We managed a limit. The bay has little fresh water in it. Most of the boats were packed in around crab harbor.

I had a few salmon backs left from this last fall but bait was hard to come by. Squid works and the gas station/tackle shop in Garibaldi has some low budget mesh bait holders for it. The crabs were not in the west channel as they were in the fall. We found some nice hard crabs behind the S. Jetty across from Lysters tackle.

If you bring your own bait, it's definitely worth the trip.
