battery care

Anyone have problems charging their battery while it's still connected to the outboard ignition system. Someone told me this could damage the motors ignition system. I know in the old points ignition it could be a problem but is it a concern with the electronic version?

I charge $70,000 dollar cars without disconnecting the battery. I think as long as you have the ignition turned off you shouldn't have a problem, even if you had points.
