Clackamas this morning was very good! in one hour of fishing I had three fish on First cast a wonderful 15lb fish that I had hard time wanting to release but back in the water it went. 2nd fish 6lb hen hatchery fish that I had three feet up on the bank and Slipped thru my little hands and found itself back in the water and on it's way  last fish was a little bigger then second fish should of went down the river with it but thought I could get it to the bank that's when the hook thought it should come out
With so many going to fish Saturday this was encouraging as yesterday I fished out of the boat only to be blanked all morning  Oh and if you had been wondering where I was fishing? let me say this. #%&*+~*?<> Yhea right like I'm going to spill the beans
Look forward to meeting so many of you tomorrow, Good luck to all and a great time!!

This just in....Got a report from the Clack of fish being caught..then released. Tons of sleds (O.K....how many of you "Flotilla" people are out there??) Water's on the drop, currently at 12.64.
Not lookin' too bad. For the moment, anyway.

This just in-- SNOW ON THE PASS?
If there is snow on the pass, I am a wuss. I'm stayin home!
I can put chains on in my driveway, but not on a snowy road...
Let's see... I could wear a short skirt and look helpless...
But short skirts and waders look really dumb.
???
What's a girl to do?

Eddie,,,
I fished yesterday on the Clack and lost 1 of 1.
I wasn't going to fish today but thought I'd give it a try for an hour this morning.. Eighth cast from the bank and I had a nice little chromer on fighting. The little bugger tried to get down the rapids to the Coffee hole where the three sleds were but my new Rogue didn't give her the chance. I carefully guided her to a save slot between a couple rocks on the bank where I held the little hatchery gal down when she frantically escaped my hands and hook then gracefully swam away. Oh rats! now I'm 3 for 10. I've lost seven and netted only 3 this year. It can't get any better than that.

Station C&E a few hundred yards up the road from where you are, in the same outfit, and all traffic would surely stop to help?  (Owed you that one Bernie from the Walleye "heater" post. LOL).

Help!!!! My Wife will be braving the cold with us Ifishers tomorrow. She has been a good sport and has braved the cold with our new drift boat this winter already a few times. We have not caught any steelhead yet though. Only some old salmon. Any good suggestions to get her into a fish. I want her to enjoy being able to someday soon catch her first winter steelhead. Should I hook her up with diver and bait? Plug? Eggs? So on and so on. Any detailed help would be great we would thank you very much at busters later. I do not have much experience on steelhead fishing from the boat for winters so all help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

The easiest and one of the most productive methods to get newbies into fish, is to backtroll Diver and Bait, or a Wiggle Wart. Got my wife her first Steelhead last weekend, unfortunately it had all its fins and had to go back. She had fun with it anyway, wish she could make it for the Flotilla tomorrow, but she will be ther @ Busters.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the river.

hey drachir it's me. can't wait for tomorrow. Were gonna catch lots of fish. Did you get by Gary's? Are we taking the sled or the drift boat? I know the river is on the drop and Pete said he didn't like it under 12.3 I hope it doesn't drop any more.

Oh ******, the glow in the dark legs would only cause a traffic accident and then Jen could not come over for sure. Jen, a woman in waders and a mini skirt would definately get lots of attention and offers of help. Be brave kiddoe and hit the road early.
Snapshot.....all talk, talk, talk.... and more talk. Bring it on.
