Wernergonefishin and I are going to meet for the Floatilla and fish on Saturday. He is from Washington and I'm from E. Oregon. Neither one of us is familiar with the Clackamas. We will meet for the first time Saturday. I'm somewhat familiar with some landmarks out in that area but that is it. I've searched the archives think the put-ins and takeouts are
Feldheimers to Barton
Barton to Carver
Carver to Riverside or Clackamette Park.

What drifts would you recommend? I can get directions to Barton and Carver but where is Feldheimers? Where is Riverside? Is that the ramp/park behind the warehouses off of 212.

What about drift times? Feldheimer to Barton 4 hrs about? It seems from the archives that none of the floats are too technical?

We're eager to see new country and if we can catch a fish it's just a bonus. Just hope it's not combat fishing. We'll be in a black Willie db with smiles on our faces.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Mike, welcome out and you are already the winners. Just for braving it with our Armada on the loose. You are correct about riverside, it's behind all the warehouses off 212. Some call Riverside the Safeway Ramp. You will have two basic drifts that are easy enough for me to drift and I'm a sledder. Just cannot seem to get both oars in the water, so I'm told. Barton to Carver or Carver to Riverside. Either one will be safe in the DB. I'm concerned about enough water for the sled. Put your boat number somewhere visible so we will not throw rocks at ya for catching all the fish. While we think we know the river, we think to much. And you will probably kill us on the water becasue you would make the most of where you are vs jumping up and running on down to the next hole.
Good luck and do come over to Busters BBQ in Milwaukie at 3. We will most likely be the quiet bunch with egg on our faces.

you are right on riverside and to get to feldheimers keep going when you come to the barton park and go across the clack when you go up the hill take the second left after going over the river follow this road till it comes to a stop sighn turn left follow this road no more than 5 miles feldheimer road will be on your left and will come out of no where, follow the road to the end to the put in.feldheimers is a good drift whith with good runs between pools, at the first part of the drift take the channel on the left but watch the bushes on the left they can be a pain.the barton drift is good too maybee a little more crowded but dont take my word .these drifts have a lot good water for all kinds of fishing pulling plugs diver and bait drift fishing ,thowing jigs and spinners.and the drifts are relativly easy and about 4 hours to 6 if you work ward.eagle creak dumps in just below feld heimers probably a little less than halph the drift.there is a hatchery on eagle creak and one on the clack above feldheimers at mckiver park.good luck on your drift and i hope you have better luck than i have drifting that river i seem to catch all my fish in that system off the bank and let me tell you its loaded and i will prove it this saturday from the bank not in my sled or driftboat
