I have not fished the Willamette proper in a couple of months but I have some pretty good spots around the St. Johns bridge that produced fish last year around this time. It seems to me that the fish are stacked in the deeper holes during the ebb. When the low slack occurs and the flood starts, I find that the fish come out of the holes and feed along the shelfs. I will try it out in the morning and will post results when I get back. See a on the river........

That's an easy one. Serious. When the Willamette is very high and muddy, look at your river map if your not familiar with river, pick out the islands, and fish on the downriver end, inside current seam. Depth is not that important. You want current. Go get um buddy.
