Sandy River Fishing Report

Fished the Sandy above Dodge Park this morning. The river is at 12.3' and great fishing color. Used orange oakies and had limit by 8:20. When the water is high I look for calm pockets above falls and rapids. One fish was 6' from me the other 4', so use short casts.

Sounds like a great day thanks for the report, I was thinking about heading up by the dam on friday do you think it will be ok to fish tanks,

Is Dodge Park just past sandy, just curious, I bought some new flys at the fly shop and am dying to try them, What method of fishing worked for you if you do"nt mind me asking.These flys look like a peach and orange marabough with a little weight to them.

if you take ten eyck out of sandy and keep going past the hatchery exit, over revenue bridge, past roslyn lake you'll come across dodge park in a few more miles. the colors you have sound about right for getting into steelies. post a report when you get back. good luck!
