Oregon 38 Colorado 16
At least one NW team came up big when it counted.
Ducks are number "ONE"
RAGS. was at the game today. I thought he was being somewhat selfish so I went fishing without him and caught my first winter limit om plugs and Power Pro line. It pays to follow advise give to us on this board. Thanks Dave Johnson and the rest of you for the plug fishing tips.
I'm a Portland State Viking so I really don't care about the Ducks and that is why I went fishing today.
* Fish really do bite wet hooks*

Ducks rule!!!!!
Way to go Snapshot. Sounds like you had a great day fishing. Congrats.
Snapshot,
How did you like the hit and fight while using Power Pro? Feeling that fish do everything is what I like most about Power Pro...way to go!!
Question? did you tie direct to the plug or use a mono shock leader??
Thanks,
Jim

Congrats Ducks. Much as I hate to say it, you played a great game to end a great season. Too bad you didn't get to take on Miami, but nice job of round-housing "the hottest team in the country".....the state of Oregon OWNS the Fiesta Bowl baby.....
mumble grumble...next year...mumble...grumble....shoulda...mumble...coul da.............

Jim, I do like the feel of the Power Pro line because as you said, you can feel every turn and twist the fish makes. I caught the first one with about a four foot mono 12# leader and the second with a four foot Power Pro leader. I changed because of the beating the first fish put on the leader. That's when the thought came to me, (Dave Johnson said he uses braided leader) so I tied on the 30/8 power pro for the leader. There was a little difference in the two fights but when they hit, there was no doubt about it being a solid hookup. I had also hooked one on 12 lb maxima and a jig and lost that fish after about 3 minutes and several big runs and jumps. Could the line stetching be a reason for a fish coming off in mid fight with pressure still on him? The braided line doesn't stetch so the fish landed could not gain slack or stretch in the line. I do believe that made the difference. I've landed 3 for 3 with the power pro. Could it be the line? I for one and sold on the set and hookup. All I had to do when they hit was lift the rod out of the rod holders and keep a firm grip on the rod.
Thanks again to Dave and all the rest of you for helping set up my reels with Power Pro.

Whoops! Previous message not finished!
What a great experience in Tempe. It was like going to a game in Eugene. Oregon colors everywhere with flags and pompoms on lots of vehicles. It's a great time to be a Duck. The day after the game we went back to the stadium to get some deals on shirts. Oregon stuff was 30% off while Colorado stuff was 50% off. We did not see many Buffs shopping!
The only thing better would be a return to the Fiesta next year when it hosts the National Championship!
