Ok, I haven't been monitoring the board much in the past couple of months (but I did get a new daughter on Christmas eve, so great trade!), but it seems like RT just flat disappeared. Last posts I remember seeing were of breaking tailbones & fishing, fishing/beer/pain meds, and puff the magic dragon!!!! Where are you RT!?!?!?!

Congrats on the new Daughter!! I hope the Wife and Daughter are doing fine. How are the job prospects going? Be sure to come by Mollet and put in an application at least, OK! Stop down stairs and come introduce yourself, I run the 6-color Heidelberg.
Not too sure where RT is, I think I've seen a couple of his posts on Piscatorial Pursuits Board.
Keep in touch!!

Thanks Rick I will come by...are you in this week?

Wife and daughter doing great...MUST....GET....SLEEP...though!

Anyone have any recommendations for baby packs to take the kid fishing! Someone asked if I was going to do that, and I said, "well, last time my wife went out she snagged her shirt with a crank bait, so I don't think i'll have the baby anywhere near the hooks!"

So, since I won't be getting the line wet anytime soon, everyone "FISH ON!" one for me when your out!

Hi Scott,
Yes I will be working all this week. My hours are 7 AM- 3 PM. We are running all the new Literature for North River Jet Boats this week. This is really a big job for our shop. It's kind of fun running stuff that am interested in. I hope you stop in this week, I'd like to meet you!

Baja, congrats on the baby...we had our first, also a daughter, in September. You WILL eventually get some sleep....trust me....it doesn't seem like it, but you will. Ours wouldn't sleep for more than 30 minutes unless she was ON you for the first month or so, the next day, she changed. It'll pass. Meantime, take advantage of any offers for help you get.

Haven't tried to pack her along yet, but we have one of the front packs and one of the baby slings. You might get away with casting wearing the pack, but not the sling, too bulky.

Anyway, congrats

It was good meeting you today Scott. I hope your search for a job is short, and that all goes well with the new Little Daughter. My little Daughter is soon to be 24 years old. God, it seems like only yesterday she was such a tiny little baby. Time sure flies by, enjoy her first year, there are so many changes in the first year, really cool being a Dad!!

Baja-
The child pack I would recomend is the one made by Kelty. They are the only thing that got me through the first couple years of my kids life.
They are a bit spendy $100- 150 but worth every dime. You don't even know you are carying any thing. They can be found at REI and I think GI joes has them also. They are made to carry the weight on your hips just like a regular technical backpacking pack. Good luck with the little one.

One more thing they don't fit in the kelty untill their head is no longer floppy. I would recomend a front pack untill then.

Congrats on the new baby!

RT has moved. It wasn't an amicable departure in my opinion, but the past is the past. You can find him over at Bob's now pretty regularly. You can pick up right where you last left off because he's still complaining about his butt. Something about it being too big or something..

welcome back
