Jennie; It's not like you dumped in the river. It was a flood victim. I wish I was out there to give you a hand. Just tell'em to hold their horses, cause your making an honest effort to get it!!!!! Also, I could never understand something, why is it that some people that have the most beautiful places in the country, if not the world, to fish still have to FIND something to 8itch about. They could have helped pull the thing out of there in the time it took to call and complain about it. And if it REALLY BOTHERED them they would have!

Jennie, surely there is a neighbor or friend with a Jeep with a winch on it. All you would have to do is get close enough to lasso it with a cable.
If the boats are bouncing off it, maybe you could drift to it and tie an anchor rope onto it and pull it out as you go down stream.
Kinda makes you wonder about the fish too. Are they bouncing off it and going back to sea?

*Fish only bounce on WET TRAMPOLINES*

It's no big deal. It was the locl game Sherrif. He is a neighbor of ours. He has seen it in the yard before.
Can't get close enough to the river from any accessable roads. If we did it from the road on the North side, it is accessable, but up a 50 foot bank. Can you just see the springs poppin?
No boats can hit it. It could grab gear though. It is far underwater. One leg is still attached, which could hold up an anchor, but the current is not such that that is likely.
They know that we are trying. They are really nice about it. In fact, he offered suggestions to help.
We'll get it out of there.... Somehow! I called the towing company, and they are supposed to come look soon.
Thanks,
Jen

The Tillamook County Sherrif just called and advised me that there was a trampoline in the river and drift boaters have been complaining about it.
"Do you know anything about a trampoline, Bill?"
I explained to the officer the drama that has unfolded, and that we were trying.
Anyway, looks like I'm going to pay a towing company now, to get it out.
Gee, I wonder who called the cops?
I'll get it out of there, guys!
I'm trying!

Jennie,
I have a 4 wheeler with a 2500 LBS winch on it. I can go about any where with my machine. Also I have a chainsaw winch that is very mobile and strong as well. I use it to pack out whole elk from down in the canyons. I can do a dead pull strait up with a large elk, so I am sure a trampoline is going to be a piece of cake. Let me know if you are interested and maybe I could drive down and give you a hand.

I'd love it!
However, the weather is awful today.
If you are down this way, e mail us, and let me know. Come see what you think.
I just wish we could get down across the other side of the river. That would be a piece of cake.
Thanks!

Jen,
Awful weather is what they make raingear for... Let me know and we can load the gear up and drive down and get the darn thing out of the water. I probally will not come look at it until we are to get it out of the river as I live in Scappoose. Hovever with my machine and chainsaw winch and some ropes and blocks I know that if it is humanly possible to get it outof the water we could get it out of the water.

That is an exceptionally kind offer!
Now you don't have to be kind for the whole rest of 2002!!!!
Thank you!
I'm pretty sick today, but I'll be calling!

Now thats cool!! And it's actions like this is the reason we are moving back that way. Folks still come to the aid of those that are in need. Can't find much of it here in Colorado.

Jennie,
Sounds like you have some nice people willng to help you recover your trampoline. I have this week off and plan on being in your area on Thursday. Hopefully to get my first steelhead. Haven't had much luck yet, but, have gotten better on casting with my Curado. If you need some more help, I guess I could act as a human bobber.
Just attach the main line to me in the river and we should have some strong leader attached from me to the trampoline and with Talons winch on full... as soon as you see the Bobber go down , put the winch in full recovery.
Just drop me a line if you need some help. Take care , get well and have a nice day now. Tom
