Troy I think that will work for me. I guess that means I actually have to fish on a weekend  I get off duty that morning. Will depend on Elk hunting, I forgot about an upcoming cow hunt I have and my partner is now relegated to weekend hunting only. Hopefully we will get our elk right away and be able to fish. Happy New Year.

thanks for the effort Troy, count me in. Hope this doesn't cut into your fishing time. Do you think we should meet for lunch like we did at the Lewis?

Troy,
Count me in as well. We might be able to meet at the Hanger in Carver if it is still there for food and brew

I'm in! Floated it today for 1 30" winter. Beauty of a day and got a fish as well. I can meet anywhere as I live on Springwater Rd.

No can do on the 19th. My wife and I are going Snowshoeing that day up on Mt. Hood. Tough choice, but I'll pick the beauty and solitude of the snow that day. How about the 26th???

I'll be there. Maybe I'll have this steelheading thingy down by then  Should be fun. Just remember that there may be younger i-fish members in the mix if we do a lunch or dinner thing.

Now you just have to set the times Troy. Man, now you have two jobs. Your day job and flotilla organizer.

I'll be there. Hope the fish are as well.
I'll be in Snapshots sled. Have you been fishing the Clack Spooled?

Looks like I may have a boat full for the flotilla in the ol' trusty sled. Hopefully Spooled won't low hole me and anchor up   Troy this is a good opportunity for all that want to have a fun day.

Come on guys, who's goin?

What bit of water are we considering? Drifties? Sleds? Both?

I have a full drift boat for it. Count me in!!!

Pete, all boats are welcome. Last Flotilla was won by a driftboat on the Lewis River. As a matter of fact, a sled has never won a Flotilla (only one river was sleddable). Always wanted to say sleddable.
Anyway, bring whatever you want and fish anywhere on the Clackamas you want. We will meet afterwards for a get together. Maybe at Buster's BBQ in Milwaukie or Wichita Pub in Clackamas. Both sell beer for those that those that drink it, Buster's is better if there are kids fishing in any boats.

Well it looks as if I can make it after all. Our other plans on the 19th fell through, so count me in. Not sure which boat I'll be in yet, wait and see what the river is running at the time.

The SE Roll Call was at a witchita pub and the smoke gave me a headache for 2 days.  I vote for a place that doesnt allow smoking, busters is good grub, and I doubt there will be to many vegetarians fishing F3.5.

How about the Viewpoint Restaraunt between McIver and Feldheimers?

Where is everyone drifting? Where to where?

I agree w/ Bait O' Eggs, Busters is great, and Smoke Free!! Wichita Pubs smokey atmosphere is really bad for my Asthma. I will be fishing w/ STZ II, in his Jet if water is high enough, otherwise we'll use the Willie Drift Boat.

What exactly is the flotilla 3.5 ??? I'm new to the ifish community and have only seen it mentioned in posts since I've registered.
I've drifted the Clack from Feldheimers to Barton / Barton to Carver / Carver to Riverside.
What I've heard interests me, just need to know what it is and if its open to anyone?

I would love to participate in Flotila 3.5, but here is my dilemma. I have a 19’ North River, but I have never run the Clackamas River. My boat has only seen the Columbia, Willamette, and John Day Rivers, and T-Bay. If the water conditions are “Sled Friendly”, I would love to hitch a ride with someone in a sled who has experience on the Clackamas. I can’t think of a better opportunity to learn the river. Anyone willing to take this rookie to school for the day?

Catch22, looks like you want to meet in your backyard. Could that be the closest restraunt to your home?
Troy, I vote for Busters also.
They can accomidate a pretty good size group if we go early enough and not cut into their early dinner people.
From all the boaters going, is there a way to make sure everyone has a ride and we have someone to fish with, and not empty boats. I'm waiting for someone to confirm or decline a ride. I might be able to take another person, but have to wait to see.
Catch 22, send me an email with your phone numbers. I think we need to prefish to make sure the Wa guys don't kick our rears again.
Isn't it just like them to come down and catch all our fish???????

You got me Snapshot! I wasn't thinking about the sledders. I guess we'd better stick to carver area. The lower river is not a stretch that I fish much. At least that would give everyone an equal chance. Got your e-mail and sent you my cell #. We'll send those Washingtonians back north with their tails between their legs!!

brshooter,
I will be in my friends 18' Alumaweld Formula V if water conditions are high enough. We have fished the Clackamas for more than 25 years. I am not sure if we will have an open seat or not, but if we do I think I can speak for my fishin' buddy and say you would most welcome on board for Flt/3.5. Hope for some rain that week, and the river to above 12.8'.

king13fisher,
The Flotilla 3.5 is a day on the river fishing with other I-Fishers in a friendly sort of Derby, for bragging rights on catches the most fish, Oregon Folks, or Washington Folks. Afterwards we meet at a close by restaraunt, for some good food and fellowship. That's It! Hope you can make it!

Don't forget boys and girls that the clackamas is not just for boat fishermen(persons)(pc and all that). There is an awefull lot of bank access and areas to try if you're not in you sled, Drift boat, or in a friends ride on the river.

Bankies are included in this Flotilla right Spooled? If he says no then I will low hole him  . All are welcome to participate and it is a great time to meet one another. That way we can all say "hey I know that guy" and then walk up and say hi.

Try to catch a ride or offer a seat folks. My boat is full with five fishers but I am sure that there is someone out there with room. If not check with your i-fisher buddies for a good bank spot or plan walking a little on the river. Maybe even contact a guide for bank fishing advise. They may even give it to you.

And Spooled, if I hook another steelhead you bet I'll scream like a boat load of girls or sound like an off key donny osmund.

Fish on!!!!
