The only thing that makes it easy let a steelhead season go away is knowing that it is being replaced by Spring Chinook season. Oh what a steelhead season it was, Though the December January fishery was a little weak February and March and even April was Awesome. We were getting up to eight fish a day just last week. I ended the season with 301 fish landed with 9.5 average per day for the months of Feb and March. The only thing that slowed us down was to much rain.

A couple first this year that highlighted the season. First year to land 5 fish that were 39 inches or larger. Just about any fish over 39 inches can realisticly be considered 20 lbs. We also got the biggest fish that has ever been to my boat tipping the length meter at 44 and 1/4 inches. Figured it was an easy 25 lbs.

Well on to bigger things not necessarily better but bigger. Right now there are seven days left for the month of May. I tend to fish all over depending on tides rain and Dam counts. My promise to you is to be where we have the best chance. I would just assume to fish these remaing days with Ifisher's as I a have enjoyed meeting many of you. Call me soon to get in on some great action.
