A Vancouver man was critically injured Tuesday in a head-on collision on the Astoria-Megler Bridge that claimed the life of a woman from Long Beach, according to the Oregon State Police.

Son was working near there and said it was a real mess. The woman was passing on the bridge at a high rate of speed and no seatbelts in a rental car according to the Astoria Paper. So many head ons recently.

Was Herb an I fisher? What was his "handle?" He sure was a swell guy even when he was hurting and even while we were unintentionally hurting him trying so hard to get him out of that messed up truck. He knew that we cared and told us how much he appreciated our care and life saving efforts while en route to the hospital.
He was seriously hurt but I think he'll make it. If anyone knows of his condition and or outcome we would surely appreciate the news. When we hear of a good prognosis on recovery we are relieved to know that. Yes... you bet I will pray for Herbs full recovery. :pray:

My wife talked to his wife on wednesday, he's still in icu,but in stable condition. Thank for taking good care of a friend and I will post any further updates on Herb.
