Its always nice to see the first winter of the year every year.

We were lucky enough to find this little girl yesterday (lucky the seal only got a little of her tail). I should say it found my little bait. People often ask how big is too big of bait for steelhead?

She hit a bait almost the size of it's head. A sandshrimp, large glob of eggs, 6/0 hook and a 00 spin glow.

A fun day

Again with a 00 spin glow fist size bait of eggs and shrimp, 40# test line and 6/0 hook.

Guess soon its going to be time to start trying for them. Way too wet and windy for group shot at end of day.
