Is it possible to put together a small cult of bank bound fisherman? Like an open seat only it's an open seat in the car. Or maybe open waders? I am really itchin to go fishing. I know where the fish are but am running out of eggs, money, gear, etc. It's been tough trying to fulfill my fishing needs while going through a divorce!

you can count me in on this one. I am tired of fishing alone all the time. I plan on heading out monday or tuesday if anybody is interested. Was thinking about hitting the nestucca, maybe in my driftboat, or maybe just from the bank. Doesnt make to much of a difference to me.

PM me if anybody is interested in Monday or Tuesday.

You can count me in as well. I don't mind driving if I get a little help with the gas money. Fishing knowledge may be substituted for gas money.

I want to trade my knowledge of where the Chinook are in trade for a ride to the fish along with a few tackle items. I am short on basics and having a hard time replenishing after ex-wife sold it all....

maybe a "coast to hood " thing like those silly runners do only someone in the know host a day at the coast then someone upstream host a day at the hole they care to share and so on and so on until you end up in maupin or the upper clack or?? I always want to fish the coastal streams but really have limited knowledge and even then it was places like the 2 bit hole where you need a boat. Cool idea

Fantastic idea! I would not be interested in your secret hole, but would love to learn new water. I hear all the talk about the Oregon coastal streams, but would not have a clue here to begin.

I mainly stumble around the Cowlitz, toutle, Kalama, and Lewis. I don't do the combat thing, and have more tackle than some shops. The wife refers to it as her retirement....... Everything from fly to Sturgeon.

I have a pontoon, but don't know anyone else with one, so it would be a hoot to get a few toons together and explore. I have a 20' Skeeter bass boat and would be willing to trade trips. I do prefer to have the water over 50 degrees for bass though. :D It's also tough to backbounce out of as well.

I live about 10 minutes from the Cowlitz. Our best day for Ho's this fall was 13. I got one Chinook from the Kalama. My only nook this fall. I do miss my river boat:cool:

I was at that not so secret hole atear or two ago and got an 11# steelhead on eggs and yarn. I hooked a couple nookies that didn't seem to want to cooperate, I guess thats why you shouldn't salmon fish with steelhead gear. Also ventured north 2 streams and hooked a really large chinook in the county park that I chased all the way to the put in before it finally broke me off. What a great time:D I live in Eugene and would like to get out as I have been doing chemo all summer and really need to get on the water. I only managed 1 summer this year and no nookies. Had a lot of fun with the ho's the 2 times I got out but that was it. Some freshly caught fish would be just what the dr. ordered

Hey, I went through a crappy divorce and my prayers are with you. I managed to just go get my gear from the house when she wasnt there. I called the sheriff first. He said I still had rights to my stuff. Anyway's it was'nt good. Maybe 1 out of 10000 goes ok. Good luck with that. I would however like to bank fish , I fish at least 1-2 times a week, whether coast or local or gorge. Prefer mostly big game fish, nooks, steelies, sturgeon. I have my own waders,:wink:LOL. Peace

I'd be interested in taggin along from time to time. Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually open for me. Don't have a ton of experience yet but I learn quick and bring my own gear. As far as where to go... well, I can make suggestions just no guarantees.

Oh yeah, my waders are a little big on me but not that big.
