I am brining a pal of mine from work out on silver for the first time tomorrow and was curious if anyone has been hitting the crappie and perch up there. I plan to hit the canals and would appreciate any advice or reports on the action thanks. Also if you have been fishing what colors been producing?

Thanks that is good to know... I have taken this friend from work fishing about 3 times and every time i told him i have been catching fish (which i have been) and not caught anything. I have not been to silver this year but figure that i gotta be able to get into fish there... I got several colors of jigs bobbers and crappie nibbles all set so i am ready to go! Thanks

Hey, hopefully Saturday we will have a lot of Bass action. We can always resort to Crappie. I will bring along some Crappie jigs and bobbers just in case.

Well thanks for the info all we went out caught no keeper crappie but did get some nice bluegill TONS of perch 1 that was big enough to be worth keeping. Unfortunately though we had to row cause just a short ways out of the launch my friends jet sucked in a bunch of weeds and killed his motor :( I hope the damage is not to serious, fortunatly he is very mechanically savy and will probobly fix it in a week But we still had a blast catching fish on just about every cast!
