I finally got my motor troubles solved with a new to me outboard. Now I'm wondering if the fall bite is still on or should I hang it up till spring. How would you fish this time of year? Or would you?

water temp on the willy was 56 last saturday.
probably down to about 53 by now, but the river is
still highly fishable. i'm sure the columbia is as fishable.
it generally fishes a couple/few weeks longer than the willy.
wobbling crankbaits and soft plastics will do it.

I caught smallmouth into December last year on the willy. I wouldnt give up yet, especially with the lack of rain keeping the rivers fishable and not blown out. Had to fish pretty slow though when water temps hit the upper 40's.

I found some crappie today at St. Paul!! Probably still going at Silver. Weather looks awesome this week. Hit it!
