More prayers for my Son Mike please.

. I had an email from Mike last night. He has applied to be a candidate for a new experimental drug regime for people that were not cured or put into remission with Chemo and Radiation treatment.

The drug name is Zalutumumab and is made by Genmab. It is a phase 2 study. That means it will not cure the cancer, but keep it from spreading and is only used where there is no other hope. The company will only select 100 candidates nation wide. Please join me in praying that Michael will be one of them and that the treatment will work.

A year or so ago I asked for prayers for my Son Mike . Thank you for all who answered that request.

Subsequently he lost his lower jaw and half his tongue to cancer. He was clean for awhile but his last Pet scan showed the cancer has now spread to his bones. He is now terminal. This is not unexpected, but is a hard burden for all of us. I ask my brother Ifishers to once again ask God to ease his pain and not prolong his suffering.

I cannot imagine the pain you and your family have gone through during this terrible ordeal with your son. There's probably few words that anyone can offer to ease that pain, but please know that you and your son are in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.

Sorry to hear about your Son's condition. Hopefully these present times will be forever replaced with the great times you shared with him when he was healthy. This situation is difficult and no words can make it better. A situation like this should make us all appreciate our health even when other apsects of our lives may not be where we would like.
