I've been a pretty avid Bass fisherman for my while life, and my friend has been getting into fishing pretty heavily lately too. We're both 20, from West Linn, and go to college nearby. We've recently been trying to learn the game of Salmon fishing, but it's quite challenging when you don't know anybody who has experience. We're also boat-less which has made for even more of a challenge.

If anybody plans on heading out and wouldn't mind sharing a bit of knowledge sometime we would both be very appreciative.

I have a few rods that will get the job done, and I've pulled in ~10 salmon total from the Ocean, so I'm not completely lacking experience. My buddy doesn't have quite as much experience with Salmon, but he's a pretty good Basser; and catches on quick.

Tues/Thurs/Weekends work very well, but if you plan on headin' out at any time just shoot me a PM! :D

Will help with gas/snacks/drinks, etc. Can be local or we can make a trip out of it!

If you can not find anyone you should try the local streams like the sandy, clackamas and the tribs, there are lots of coho out there to catch. Good luck.

Thanks iWant! Yeah we've gone out twice now, once on the Clackamas and once on the Sandy. We kept getting hung up and it was very frustrating. One of the main reasons I made this post was to get a little bit of a head start on figuring out how to properly fish for Salmon. If anybody is heading out sometime and wants to show us young guns how to do it, just let me know! (bank or boat doesn't matter!) :D:D
