1.99 a pound. Pretty good!
Try this!

Put it in your crock pot in the morning. Darned if I didn't wait till noon but it was the best I EVER made! :)

Anyhow, all you do is put a slosh of soy sauce or tamari in there. (About 1/3 cup or so. Add a can of cream of mushroom soup. Add a half pack or so of onion soup mix.

You know... this is home food. Comfort food. It's NOT health food! LOL

Then, cook it on high for five hours like I did. It falls apart so nicely!

I served it with fresh cabbage cut in wedges, cooked in a can of chicken broth, some cayenne and some pickling spice. (Just put it in a cast iron dutch over and set it to boil and steam for a bit. YUM)

I served it also with mashed potatoes and guess what else?

I picked fresh blueberries (in OCTOBER!) and made corn muffins with blueberries. I do say that has been the best thing I ever thought of! I use that Marie Callender's mix and add fresh or frozen bluebs. YUM

Oh yeah! Take the roast out, and add about a half cup flour mixed with water to thicken the sauce in the pot. Put it back to boil and thicken and there is your gravy.

FATTENING... but oh so good!

Bought one and made a meal almost like this with a little different variety. Made up two packets of Pork Gravy with a can of Beef Broth. Poured it over the Pork roast and in the slow cooker it went for 10 hours. About 3 hours before done I added some red potatoes and carrots. OH MY WAS IT GOOD. I wife said she was headed to the store to buy another pork roast. Thanks for the lead on this one.

Try a different twist, pork roast spagetti. Put roast in crock cover with large jar of ragu a couple spoons of chopped garlic, cook on low all day. falls apart when done, shred up the pork to coat evenly with the sauce, serve over you favorite noodle topped with fresh grated parmesan. A side of salad and garlic bread, don't forget the wine!

I love stuff like this.

I also like to throw some small potatos into the pot or serve it over rice.

Yum Yum
