Need a hunt -Santiam Unit

I have been out 3 times, and haven't been lucky at all. I've seen 2 does the entire time. So, I'm chalking it up as I don't know crap about the area and have no clue where to go. So, I'm trying to find someone that knows the area, and can help a guy out.

I'm up by Cascade Locks, so the further North, the better. But, I'll be happy anywhere! I've heard of timber companies and their clear cuts, but have yet to find any. I've tried Lolo Pass area, Hunchback Mountain... Nothing...
