I'm going to Pendleton Wednesday night to accompany my fiance for her business meeting Thursday... which leaves me with free time for at least half of that day. Any place I can fly fish for trout there?

Thanks in advance,

JD

Rainbow's are not abundant around here. They are stocked in the spring, but this time of the year. The water is very warm.
The bodys of water around Pendleton are: Umatilla River (in town) McKay Res(10 min away) Columbia River (30 min away.)
I would suggest bringing your spinning rod and fishing for bass or catfish in McKay Res.

That's right, no native redsides around here...

The Umatilla River runs right through the middle of town and there should be some coho or steelies in there now. Check the local sporting goods store or fly shop.
