looking for some suggestions

I want to go chuck some flies on October 28th but have no idea where I want to go or what to fish for within a few hours of Portland. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated so I can start tying now. Lack of success this year has really got my confidence down.

try out cedar creek on the side right by the actual creek. that area there has been a little bit of fly preassure. also hardware preassure
