Great day on the Sandy today, the fish were actually active and I managed to limit out. I must say thank you to all of you that gave me advice on how to learn how to fly fish. After catching my first small buck on eggs I decided to try my hand at actually catching a fish with my fly rod. Been up there quiet a bit the last month or so and only managed to get in a lot of casting practice. About an hour into it I finally hooked a small hen and what a blast! That kept me going for another three hours until I hooked a brute with a small chenille egg pattern that I actually tied myself. What a blast, can't wait until tomorrow! Will post pic of the brute in the coho challenge. Again, thanks to all who took the time to give me advice and tips!!!

Congrats. But, I would hope you swung the fly and not the fly rod. Easy to lose a rod that way. :)

Dang! So that's what I've been doing wrong! It's just amazing what you learn reading other folks' iFISH threads. :D
