Please pray for Brian (Boats) and family

Brian is in the hospital with a mass in his abdomen.

It's ifish member "Boats". He is a moderator and friend of mine. (And yours too, even if you don't know him! ... yet!)

They think it is a hematoma or a sarcoma. They are unsure with the tests that can be done without surgical intervention.

So, tomorrow (they hope) they will be able to do surgery to find out. If it's a hematoma, they will take it out and clean it up. If it's a sarcoma, then they will take a part of it for tests and then he has to wait 5 days for the results. That's really hard!

He is on standby and that is so hard, too... You know, the wait. :(

Please just pray for the family and for Brian's pain. His pain has been at least at a consistent 7, cold sweats at night, etc. Sounds miserable on the phone. :(

I am so sad for him and am praying hard for all of them.

Hematoma! They think hematoma! I just spoke to Elizabeth. (Brian's wife)

I'm just thrilled to hear it!!!!

Anyhow, it's very infected, which is why he felt so crummy, I'm sure, and it was buried deep in his muscle, so he's going to be hurtin' for certain. :(

Prayers for a speedy and miraculous recovery! I'm so glad that they don't think it's cancer! I'm so inspired and moved that our Heavenly Father is so awesome!

It's so neato, like Elizabeth said, when you KNOW that God's hand is in things and you can see Him working! I always love that and if it weren't for that, I wouldn't be a believer. I need to see to believe!

Oh-- They have to send it in, still, to see if there is cancer, so don't stop the prayers, yet. They are pretty confident it is a hematoma, but still.... just TRUST that it's going to be good!

I'm thrilled. Great way to end a worrisome day. I've been worried all day! I wish I could learn to just trust!

Hi everyone,
I'm at home recoverying now. I haven't heard back from the lab yet, but the initial indications from surgery look good.

I can't thank you all enough for your thoughts and prayers. The last few weeks have been pretty difficult, but having good friends to support me has made all the difference in the world.

I'll update you all again once I hear back on the lab results. Until then, I'm pretty much on bed rest with a hole in my abdomen for another week.
