Ok, I have been thinking about this since I saw the numbers of fish heading over Bony:thisbig::thisbig::thisbig::thisbig:

What i want to do is get several boats together and hit the Clearwater/Snake for steelies. There have to be people here that have knowledge of the area but no boat. Maybe some know camp grounds/cheap hotels/ own property???

As I understand it the Clearwater is C&R til the 15th of OCT. After that the guides and general pulic will be there in great numbers. I'm up for C&R. The fish are there now and will only be getting more plentiful.

I realize there are closer places to fish so this may not be a practical idea but it is just that at this point, an idea.

If not the snake, then the grande ronde is next on my list, especially if we don't get rain soon. The vast numbers of salmon will probably draw my attention to the olympic peninsula so I'm just throwing this idea out there. I have fished the grand ronde before when I lived in Pullman. So that one is probably going to happen. Let me know what you think??

PMs?

I'm on vacation from OCT 5th through the 26th!!

You wont' be alone , but just go to the mouth of the Grande Ronde put your sled in the Snake and do what the others are. This will be the peak of the fish moving through for the year.:meme:

If you go up the river about 7 miles you will see my yurt on the Idaho side, stop by and say hello.

Join the crowd.
