I lost a friend with marfan syndrome yesterday. I knew him through our support network.
He had surgery yesterday and lost his life due to the same complications that I have.... Aneurysms in his aorta.
I'm just so sad and so freaked out.
RIP, Bill and thank you for your support of my family.
This always hits so hard.

I'll be praying for your strength Jennie. In the last two weeks I have known of two fathers in their 30's who passed away, leaving small children at home. We have to thank the dear Lord for the blessing of each and every day he gives, and have faith that our destiny is in His hands....:pray:

Thanks... I guess devastated is a bit extreme.
When I first heard, it really hit me.
I'm OK. It's just really sad. :( I wish we could find a cure for this icky syndrome so that others wouldn't have to go through it.

Very sorry for the loss of your friend. I know you both know what the risks are for your condition. Does not make things easier and certainly is not fair. Mourn his loss and remember the good times. Does no good to be  but to be :( and :throb:ing during this time is understandable.:bearhug:
