My Dad is 68 yrs old grew up fly fishing on the Mckenzie, catching native big fish...he now lives in Vegas and heard about the huge Steelhead run...wants a guided a trip. Best place to go? Where and when in Oregon? guides email me please

Deschutes, would probably be the best bet anytime from now til mid November. There are some west side rivers that have fish, but they have been inconsistent at best.
Brad Staples, Brian Silvey, Marty Sheppard, are all good choices. It just depends on whether you wanna do a jet boat trip or a float

For a flyfishing drift trip on the Deschutes I would recomend contacting Brandon Bischof.

What about the Lower Rogue ?
The Rogue is starting to pick in the middle river (Grants Pass to Grave Creek) If we continue to get fish coming in, it should remain good into the first or second week of November.
