1999 80 horse 4 stroke. The drain hole on the side of the motor is partly plugged. I pulled the end fitting off and cleaned it, still a small stream of water compared to normal.I removed the hose and checked it all is clear.I removed both hoses form the 2way fitting at the engine and found the tee is partly pluged. I put a small plastic weed eater string in there and the water blasts out.when i take the string out it slows back down to next to nothing - Is the tee plugged or is there a check ball in there to not allow the water to go right out ??? Thanks for your help:whistle:

When was the last time you replaced the impeller ??.
It could be a that.

Hello,
sounds like you have something in there that is floating around and pluging the water hole up, small bees like to make there home in the tubes some times they die in there. take that piece of line and spin the heck out of it when it is in there and see if pieces of something come out. I have to do this
at least twice a year. we have lots of mason bees around here.

Before checking the impeller I would check the thermostat housing. They are prone to collecting debris at that point which will reduce your stream output.

Drop the lower unit and change the impellar...while it is apart..blow out the passages and check that the impellar hasnt come apart and left some bits of rubber in the passages.
Change your thermostat too.
