The annual rumor :passout:
It would be nice to finally see a pic of one, but I'm not holding my breath. No offense intended, but this isn't the first time this rumor has circulated.

Get me a picture, and I'll believe it. This is the 3rd year in a row that I've heard this. One year it was a 25 lber, the next year it was a 20 lber washed up on shore. Not trying to offend either, but when I was asking the resort owner there for a pic of the 20 lber on 3 seperate occassions, he could never seem to find it. Would be cool if it was true, though!

30 years ago early, early spring, I found a similar situation at East Lake hiking around the lava flow at the west end. Died of old age I presume. It was a biggie for sure. :thisbig:

First off Horsecreek (http://www.ifish.net/board/member.php?u=22749) welcome home
I have been hearing the same thing for the last 20 years. If I recall last year
it was a 22lber they found with a lure in it's mouth. I do love a great fish story , picture or not . Sure makes the mind wonder, don't it

will be up there in a couple of weeks if no pictures will post retraction . The only positive note was the person who told me is an ODFW employee

Fair enough :applause:
Not doubting your portion of the story at all, just hoping some pics would finally surface :flowered:

I know hj freak and coyote got a pic of a dead 21 lber at wickiup last year when I was actually at Lemolo. It was on a cell phone so it was all grainy, but a freaking monster. Hey Hookjaw or Coyote, do you still have that pic or able to upload it from your cellphone?
FYI, I guess it smelled NAAAAAAAASTY!!!
Chartreuse Moose, I do agree, I always love a good fish story too. I know the big ones exist, but I'm also the kind of guy that the "proof's in the pudding", so to speak.
