How people say things such as "my thoughts and prayers are with you"....no words, no letters, no face to face conversation to see if anything is really wrong.....just my thoughts and prayers.

I have thought the same, and is such a common response upon hearing of an individual's need. It seems insincere, disingenuous.
When more can be done it is indeed sad. However, often for a variety of reasons "my thoughts and prayers are with you" is the most an individual can offer to someone. And when you think about it, if offered sincerely, it means you are concerned about the individual, they are on your mind. Not only that, you are calling on God to intercede and make a difference in this individual and their condition. The power of God is immeasureable, to call on that power on behalf of another is an act of love and caring.
The the person in need of prayer can have their spirits encouraged and feel strengthed if only from knowing they are not in (the situation of need) alone. We fight better when we have someone beside us and behind us. How much more knowing that God is there for you!

Feisty, I am so sorry for the difficulties you have been through in your life recently, but you have to do your part... God cares about each and every one of us, but expects us to use the gifts he has given us. Never loose your faith, God is there, and cares. Many people on this forum have prayed for you the past several months, and for you to say God doesnt care is just not right...
I will continue to pray for you. You have to do your part, and in my opinion, you need to realize that you need help dealing with your depression and anger, and you need to find someone (counselor, pastor, doctor) who can help you get out of the pit you are in. :twocents:

He's right. If you abandon God, you feel the empty.

I do thank ya'll for the prayer's...all that has kept me going is my love for my two boy's...I try to love my wife, am gentle with her in speech and action's[ no "love"[sex], as you can understand, but after her action on my job, it's difficult no prospect/hope of ever getting another good job, UI will run out, back to the street's? Thought I was done with that, my life is a slowly flushing toilet, thank you, anyway. Somebody have a good day.
