Can anyone share any fishing pointers for lake wenatchee? My buddy and I are headed up there Thurs. - Sun. for a family reunion and neither of us have ever fished it...I know there's a healthy population of lake trout but have no idea of how to fish it...I was just going to take a steelie and springer setup and run a spinner/hootchie combo with a 2-4oz. dropper...I've never even fished for lake trout and never been to this lake so any info would be helpful :flowered:.

I have not fished that area in 40 years but having grown up at Lake Chelan, when I did fish the Columbia there, we trolled mostly. Not much help but it has been a long time.

We lived in Cashmere for 12 years retiring in 2004 and returning to Eastern Oregon. They have a Sockeye run that returns to Lake Wenatchee every year, but I believe that the fishery has been closed for quite a few years. I never knew anyone in the area that fished Lake Wenatchee, but Fish Lake located a short distance away was one our favorite spots. The lake has Rainbow and German Browns as well as an assortment of Spiny Ray. There is only one resort at the lake. If you Google Fish Lake Washington, you will find the resort. Good Luck and have a great reunion.
