camped and fished detroit lake this last weekend with wedding rings with corn and a variety of powerbait behind them. The only productive spot i found was hugging the east shore at the mouth of the blowout arm. the trout where just stacked up in there but none existent in the other areas i tried. the last morning we were 8 fish for two poles for about an hour of fishing

oooops..gotta a little carried away with the ENTER key with the last response...
The kids & I fished up the Breitenbush and had pretty good luck drifting corkies & powerbait. Caught 4 or 5 12-14" trout last Wed (week & 1/2 ago), we're headed back up on 8/23 for 4 nights and will probably split time between there and Santiam above the lake..
