Wickiup water level?

I was wondering if anyone has been up around the sheeps bridge area on wickiup lately. I was going to head up there but I didn't know if I should take the drift boat or just fish it from shore. Is it still a lake up there or is the channel starting to form.

Last I heard from my grandpa is he couldn't get down there walking to fish from sheeps bridge. If you got a boat that's going to be your best bet I am guessing.

I was there two weeks ago and it's still best fished with a boat. I'm guessing from your moniker that it's fly or artificial lure only from mid July on...

Thanks guys. I was hoping it was still boatable up there but I'm going to end up having 2 days off instead of just a half day so you know what that means................steelhead fishing instead. I have a hard time thinking about trout when the steelies are in.
