The limit is 5 kokes. The best brown trout fishing is at the very top of the Deschutes and Crooked river arms tossing and retrieving sinking rainbow rapalas.

You only need the tribal permit for the Metolious arm.

Was out on the Metolious arm yesterday and today and there were fish everywhere. I have never seen so many fish jumping around. Pink and White lure with a spot of corn. Ask at one of the stores there and they will show you. Our last fish today was a Dolly Vardon I think. It looked like a rainbow but had bright pink spots up and down the sides. Am I right with this?

Nice to hear, I had to keep looking at the boat and whining as I was running back and forth to work this weekend. The last fish you caught was probably a Bull Trout. For a long time people thought Dolly's and Bulls were the same fish, but alas the taxonomists have determined that they are very different species.

To the original poster, If you prefer trolling, any number of things will work but our best preformers this year have been a pink apex behind a 5" Slingblade in purple with black diamonds, second was a Green glow wedding ring behind a lake troll. If you are looking for a complete change, most of the shoreline holds bass. We have been catching them on a 3" single tail grub on an average of around 20 fish per hour. Most are pretty small but it keeps the kids entertained.
