lava lake advise

I am heading down to lava lake tommorow with the family for a camping trip so I was wondering if anyone has any advise on the fishing there. What methods work best? Are there any good spots that people would like to share? We might also go to south twin for the morning since I am pretty familiar with that lake.

There is a spring that comes in at the far end of the lake and trout hunker there right on the bottom of the lake. The trout hang in there during hot weather. Ask for advice at the lake store.

I fished carmen yesterday and caught tons of trout. i seemed to be the only one catching alot of fish i fished off the point on the deep side fished right on the shelf where it got shallow using a slip weight i ran it so the swivel was below the slip weight so i could float as high as it would go. and only caught them using the new Spring green color power bait. i ran over to lava and drove around but didnt fish it saw some deer and elk though
