Went to Diamond Lake for the first time 7/31 8/4 and had a great time. Fishing was a bit slow for us at the start as we started out using WAY TOO SHORT of a leader at 2. Once we got the leader length dialed in, it was great times.
Spent most of our time in the Cheese Hole at around 32 anchored from both bow and stern. Water temp varied from 72 to 75 degrees. Rainbow Gulp and Chartreuse Powerbait seemed to work the best using a very small treble hook at size 14 or 16.
We got some crazy thunder, lighting, and rain a couple of the nights so it kept the bugs down but they were out in full force on the hot, clear days. Still tolerable and still well worth the trip great place for the family.
Here is me waiting and waiting with 2 leader

Here is my buddy less than 5 minutes later after we switched to a 4 leader makes all the difference. (we should have known better... :passout:)
