Hi,
I have never posted here, but felt it is past due to give back a little that I have been given. This report is 2 weeks old, but the best I could find time to do...
Hiked to Marion Lake for the evening bite and 1 night stay. Lots of surface activity for small fish, but no hookups... skunked. Bad word! Next AM went up to 8 lakes via the trail on the east side of Marion. Fished Bowerman (big) for another skunk (not sure if there are any fish here). On to Jorn Lake for 1 cutt. and 1 rainbow, both 12" fish. Next AM headed for Blue for another skunk. Did see one 10" fish cruise the shoreline, so there is fish here. Back down to Marion via the Blue Lake Trail. Yes, the bridge is still busted. Talked to 1 other fisher at Marion that also was skunked. The weather was HOT! I guess a person can't expect too good a fishing in July!

Bummer the fish didn't bite. Still a very pretty area. Try it again in the fall if you have time. Thanks for sharing your story.

Its fun going over that busted bridge with 5 guys and about 45 pound packs that you need to get across:passout:

I wonder when they'll fix the bridge? It was very interesting climbing, but stable enough to get across at least. Thanks for the tip on wearing orange in the fall! I didn't see much for animals, but it was too hot for them too.
