Good for you roger.....its your fish....you do what you want.
I will go ahead and continue to show complete and uninterupted backgrounds of where I am fishing. If I can't take a nice pic that doesnt give my spot away, then I'll consider myself less than intelligent.
I'm just not a big fan of becoming what I hate.

If you want to disguise the background you can do it with the camera. That photo of the bass should have been taken as a vertical shot, closer up and choose a netural background to shoot at; bingo, desguised background!
Nice fish. Soon as my leg gets better I'm going back that way looking for cats, probably the John Day arm.

I was out this morning and got 23 bass 9 bass over 2 pounds on the willy.
They really liked the dropshot today. They loved the green pumpkin robo worm and smoke senkos in about 10 feet of water.
I picked up three on a spinner bait.

I'm just going to go ahead and tastefully disagree. Its just too easy to post a pic with no tell in the background. If you can't figure it out, then don't waste your time chopping and editing a pic no one needs, or wants to see. Bad form.

Well it looks like my point was well made and people know there are other ways to mask a location other than photo shopping it.

I've said enough on the topic already, but Roger, I think that most folks want to see un-edited pictures with some discretion. Not many want to see a hacked up brag picture.
Its for 2 reasons really. 1. Many people including lurkers want to see where your fishing so they can steal your spot. 2. Others just want to see the beauty and art of a good bass picture, and a lucky angler.
Either way you shake it.....your pics don't fit either of those molds. THe good news is that you can have your cake and eat it too.....just post pics with no deep background. Simple.
I respect the heck out of your fishing ability Roger....that said I've never seen someone so back and forth in my life. 1 minute you want to help the world catch fish....the next you are top secret. You want to protect bass from people eating them.....then you give them an interactive map pinpointing where bass live for all the meat eaters to see. You want to be secretive about certain spots, but then you have no problem posting pictures of obvious coves that are someone elses honey holes. You rip folks for their spray paint background jobs, then you follow suit..claiming "if you can't beat em...then do the same". Your hypocrisy seems to know no bounds.

Your post entitled I got a three foot long small mouth (photo:) is also heavily photoshopped. Is this going to be your new format?
